Aggies Against COVID-19 Challenge

I took on the opportunity and challenge to find creative solutions to reducing the spread of COVID-19. Our team placed in the Top 10 out of 40 teams. As a result, we were invited to compete in the Engineering Project Showcase, invited to join the Engineering Incubator and provided access to funds to further develop our idea.

Semester 2 Reflection

Wealth & Investing

During the second semester, I also took a some of my free time to learn more about wealth and investing. I believe investing is a very powerful tool, and want to continue learning how to grow my wealth responsibly and successfully.

Critical Thinking

My POLS 209 class also made me realize I enjoy being challenged to think critically, and might have a very analytical personality/ mindset. This is something I will keep in mind as I explore different opportunities and career paths.

Research

During the second semester, I also began to cement my interest in research. The Stata Workshop, along with the Research Symposium of this semester and Honors presentations on research has made me eager to explore this opportunity. I believe A&M is a great institution for research, and feel it would be an enriching challenge.

Study Habits

After classes moved online due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I changed my study habits slightly and started taking hand-written notes directly on the powerpoint slides. I definitely liked this method because it helped me keep my notes better organized and thorough.

Religion

At the beginning of semester I started making Christian Tik Toks as a way to spread my faith. In addition to spreading the Gospel, making Tik Toks is also teaching me about social media from a different perspective.

Moving Forward

Going into the summer, I hope to continue exploring my my passions, building my faith, and growing in knowledge. I would like to begin a literacy review over potential topics I could research. I also plan on starting my own business with my grandma. I plan on buying a few books to read as well, to expand my knowledge of investing, politics and religion.
